...and by "early" I mean "earlier than I expected", thinking June would be the month with the WWDC. Maybe they're leaving the WWDC announcement schedule clear for the new Mac Pro?

In any case... new iPads (https://www.engadget.com/2019/03/18/apple-new-ipad-air-ipad-mini/), and iMacs (https://mobilesyrup.com/2019/03/19/apple-announces-21-5-inch-and-27-inch-imac-coffee-lake-processor-hardware-refresh/)... which of course come out three days after I placed an order for a new iMac 27" 4.2ghz. SO looking forward to having this new baby in my home.

And.... so miffed that if I want to grab a new model, I'll have to return this one immediately and re-do the deal, and wait.... :(

Then again, I ordered the i7 processor upgrade, since the i5 would be going too far back for future-proofing... and the processors available for the newly-announced models are the i5 or the i9 (at a $480 price tag). So maybe hanging out with the i7 processor will be enough....?

Ah, what to do, what to do.....

Again Apple removing choice from the consumer. You want 2tb SSD? Only way to get that is if you buy the most expensive model iMac. There is no reason for it, the hardware is not different, the build is identical. Apple is little by little removing choice unless you shell out the big money. I am not even sure why they have 3 different so called models. Just have 1 and let us choose what parts go in the computer.

Same goes with the new iPads. Tired old design, no revamping there. I love the iPad Mini form and have been using it for years. What I do not like is their storage sizes. There are only 2 options, 64 gig and 256. Why???? Honestly 64 gig should be gone and the base should be 128, 256 and 512. Or at very least 64, 128 and 256. I am guessing for many people 64 is to small, and like me 256 is way to big. 128 is a nice sweet spot of giving you plenty of space for everything, mail, movies, apps, photos.

I picked up a 128GB ipad (6th gen) at Best Buys black friday sale in the fall for $470. They also had them on during boxing week.

More than happy with it as I came for a 1st gen ipad air.

The Apple pencil is the best stylus I've used for drawing/writing so far. (and I've tried quite a few :-( )

Nice to see the mini back as it is a great size for a lot of people.

I don't mind the locked hardware anymore as I've added external drives to my imac. Not as elegant as the "cheese grater" but the days of the tower are now long gone. :-(

I will continue to upgrade, through Macdoc, with "newer" used models as needed. The days of buying a new Mac are behind me. (unless I win the lottery, then look out :D )

New Airpods announced today too. Nothing there that will make me upgrade, but they are on a roll this week.
