Stan Lee dies at 95, AP reports. He co-created Spider-Man and helped make Marvel a comics powerhouse.

"Stan Lee helped usher comics out of a dark age in the 1960s by co-creating morally complex heroes, including the self-doubting Spider-Man, the bickering Fantastic Four, the swaggering Iron Man and the raging Incredible Hulk. His name became synonymous with Marvel Comics."

It seemed like Stan would be here forever... I wonder if he pre-recorded some of his famous cameos for future Marvel films?

The past few years his personal / professional life has been embroiled in scandal, with various persons and companies fighting over the right to control his work, his legacy, and even his daily life. Not something that anyone at that age should have to endure.

R.I.P. Stan Lee.

Sadly the axiom of not to worry, no one ever really stays dead in comics doesn't apply here :(

RIP Stan.
