When I log in ehMac, Firefox shows a prompt that the connection is not secure. Same when I use Chromium. I understand that it means that the URL doesn't have https . When I added the "s", "Unable to connect" appeared.

Why is ehMac not using https ?

Why is ehMac not using https ?

Or maybe better if you ask, why should they???

HTTPS is often used to protect highly confidential online transactions like online banking and online shopping order forms.

Not too much of that happening here I'd say and why add unnecessary costs to the forum, but maybe you should ask the admins and also, what do you need protection from when using an almost open forum???

Maybe check this out:

And:

It just doesn't work like that. Sorry.

As long as the password and hopefully the user name are unique to ehMac, that should not be an issue.

If you are using a common password for several sites and purposes, that is far more of a security risk than no HTTPS on ehMac.
