: Apple TV in Asia

I purchased an AppleTV in Canada but I will be in Asia for 3 months and I am wondering if it will work in Thailand? Netflix informed me their feed is available although they can not promise programming and language choices will be the same as Canada.
I had an original AppleTV that I had bought in Hong Kong over there and it worked but did not support air play. Trying to avoid purchasing the Apple cable for MacAir to HDMI, but I will if that is the only solution. Anyone out there know the answer? Thanks.

Have you tried a google search??? There seems to be a fair number of hits with this:
https://www.google.ca/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=can+a+Apple+TV+be+used+in+Asia&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&gfe_rd=cr&ei=qEtxWOeRGqTP8geWyKKACQ

and specifically for use in Thailand:

Netflix content will be different for sure. Netflix detects what country you are in and then plays that content. For example if you go to the States you get American Netflix even though you are using your Canadian account, or go to Germany you now have German Netflix.

I love Airplay as a feature, makes life so much simpler with Apple devices and the Apple TV. I guess the only possible hinderance would be how good the network connection is.
