: Playlist madness

Is there any way I can add a new playlist to my iPhone6 without killing those that are already there? If I sync with iTunes (which killed those older playlists on my computer with my last upgrade (arghhh!)), that means those older ones will be lost on the iPhone as well.

I don't have or use an iPhone and do very little with iTunes, but would any of these help, and not sure what era some are from if they still work, but I didn't notice any other reply:

Create a Playlist on the iPhone or iPad - iAnswerGuy (http://www.ianswerguy.com/create-playlist/)
Create playlists on your iPhone - How to - Macworld UK (http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/iosapps/how-create-playlists-on-your-iphone-ipad-3571995/)
How to Select Multiple Playlists on an iPhone | The Classroom | Synonym (http://classroom.synonym.com/select-multiple-playlists-iphone-16677.html)

And create a backup first might be a good idea…. ;)

EDIT:
Hmmm… I just noticed you have a double duplicate post here…

It seems a bit odd that no iTunes guru has suggested any solution here… or is iTunes really that screwed up that a user can't use it as they wish… ??? I'd say yes…

Such comments are typical:
iTunes has become a convoluted wreck of an application. Apple keeps adding and adding features at the cost of usability. It shouldn't take an experienced user several minutes just to find their playlists. Can you imagine trying to explain how to navigate this application to your mother? It's an absolute mess.
