Hi, I have Notes v1.5 on a MacBook with OS 10.8.5. I would like to sync these notes with Notes app v. 4.2 on a MacBook OS 10.11.4. Is it possible to sync these two apps? It isn't happening automatically.
Thanks for your help.

Okay, so I found out that the two systems of Notes are NOT compatible, unfortunately.

You'll need to be more specific as there must be maybe a 100 different apps named "Notes" that can all work with various Macs and OSs.

The Notes app that I referred to is the Notes app that comes with the OS. Which is why I posted the question to Apple forums.

Since I am a frequent user of Notes, I assumed you meant Apple's Notes when I first read your post. I keep a Pages file of notes I make on my HD to protect information from permanent loss due to a failure, but so far have never needed to use it. Thanks for the heads up on no compatibility between earlier versions. If I ever do come across the issue in future, my Pages backup would serve me well.

Hmmm…??? Seems like another one of Apple's confusions and goofy methods from what I found for trying to use their Notes app and keep them compatible… and maybe even synced…

Have a look and read here…
