I have an older Mac Mini (got it in 2011) and i shut it down yesterday and it won't start today.

I push the power button and a small white light come on on the front but nothing else happens.

Any suggestions or should I take it in for someone to look at?

Thanks!
Wendy

Have you checked to see if your monitor has become unplugged? Minis are notorious for the monitor connection dropping out of the port on the back of the mini. I would wiggle or push that cable at the mini end as well as the monitor end before I did anything else. The white light usually indicates the mini is powered up. It is likely a monitor issue or at least that has been my experience with the older mini I gave to my son when I got my new one 18 months ago.

check all the connections at the back
also maybe unplug all the connections including the power cable,
then touch the power button for 1 sec let go wait 1 min then
reattach cables and try again.
