I have a mid 2010 27 inch mac.
I have upgraded my processor from an i3 3.2ghz to a i7 2.93ghz.
My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB
Is it possible to upgrade my graphics card that's more than a 1024mb?
all help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, but it's very expensive. You can get 780M chips from ebay but they start around $500+. They some times may or may not display a boot screen on startup, etc. Depends on the EFI of the GPU installed.

So the 780M's can run on my model? But there are chances to if it will boot or not?

I don't know if it still is, but it used to be THE place and the Mac hotrodders hangout place for such info.

You'd need to do some research. Third party GPU's may not show the boot screen when used with a Mac. In other words, the display will come on when you hit the desktop or login window and not earlier.

"Good place to start: MacVidCards.com - Home."

Would anything from there actually fit or work as it seems to be a place for Mac Pros and the OP seems to have an iMac???

What about some of those sites that dwell on building or modding one's ahem, "Macintosh", and maybe they could be more constructive — pun intended.

But I'd wonder and need to do some checking as to whether any such mod would be worth it for any possible gain or improvement. Hmmm…???

Or maybe this…
"For any other reason this upgrade is not recommended as the power gain is only noticeable in games. …"
