Looking for a cheap original Mac video card for my 2009 Mac Pro.

My flashed card is up for sale, and my new 780 isn't flashed and probably won't be.

I had 2 GT120's but sold them. Oops! Anything similar and or cheap. Pm me.

I'll keep my eyes open for one. I kept a 8800GT 512GB Mac card around for the same reason.

Would a Mac version GeForce 7300GT also work?

Just checked. The 7300 is for pre-2008 Mac Pro's. 32bit efi.

The GT120 is the way to go.

How do you power it though? Or do you just pop it in for Nvidia web driver updates?

Some people with unflashed cards use screensharing for the web driver updates. It apparently works well.

If I ever need the apple boot screen, I'll just install it. With the 780 I run an external power supply, so I'll use that power. I had both installed yesterday with latest drivers installed.. Without issues. Extended desktop with a Nvidia and amd video cards.. Ran great.

Now removed it so the 780 can breath better.

I do want to run a SLI configuration for Windows.. Not sure if it works correctly. Hmm.

That reminds me... you think I should've installed my GTX680 in the second slot to have more air flow?
I just put it in the bottom slot out of habit. I have a USB3 card in there too, but there's room to move the vid card up one slot.

I run mine on the bottom slot.. It's fine even with a smaller card overtop of it. Like a USB 3 card or what not. I run a pcie SSD in the slot over it for 16x pcie speeds.

Ah, okay I'll just leave mine on the bottom slot.
