: Can't post...

Anyone have a suggestion as to why I can't post a new topic for the last few days to the Anything Mac forum?

Posting to an existing subject works, and I've tried all the previously suggested suggestions of words and punction etc.

Now, I wonder if this will even work.

All I've been getting in the address bar when attempting to post is:
https://www.ehmac.ca/newthread.php?do=postthread&f=5

I looked into the section permissions and tested it out and it looks like you can create a thread there. Could you test it out again and let me know how it goes.

No go, at least not to the Anything Mac forum and I haven't tried a different forum - yet.

I've tried when booted in SL and again in Mavericks, multiple times on in each and all I get is a blank page with this in the address bar:

https://www.ehmac.ca/newthread.php?do=postthread&f=5

At least I was able to post here.

Thanks for your support.

Here's what I was attempting to post in case you can see anything wrong, and I've even tried some changes in the subject and the body and I also tried just using a tinyURL, all a no go:

Subject is: New 2013 Mac Pro delivery...?

Body is:

I don't need or am interested in a new 2013 Mac Pro as some are, but why are some models available for delivery now when Appel's own site says "Available to ship: March".

An email I got today has some for immediate shipping and others Availability:
3-6 business days according to their link:

Apple Computer Desktop Computers (http://www.cdw.ca/shop/search/Computers/Desktop-Computers/Apple-Computer/result.aspx?w=C2&pCurrent=1&b=APL&a1607=041887&ctlgfilter=&key=mac+pro&searchscope=All&sr=1&cm_mmc=Email-_-CAN-_-MF-_-Apple+Mac+Pro)

It seems odd that the mother lode isn't producing at this time.

Note: I'm having problems posting this, all I end up with is:
https://www.ehmac.ca/newthread.php?do=postthread&f=5

I've been trying to post an ad in the classifieds section with no luck as well.

Anybody looking into this?

As you can see, no further comment from VSAdmin Administrator and they probably don't work on the weekend.

I still can't get my new subject to post, but I can post a reply to existing threads and I don't know what the problem is. I've even tried several things I could thing of to no avail.

The same problem when booted into SL or Mav 10.9.1 and I was suspecting something goofy with Mav, but not so it seems. :(

Just performed a test and pm-r is exactly right: can only post in existing threads, not post new ones, though. Running 10.6.8 here.

I was actually able to post a new subject just this afternoon but to a different forum and I haven't tried to do so again lately in the Anything Mac forum.

Can you test posting in the Anything Mac sub section.. I have made a few changes in the permission to see if that clears it.

Regards,

MD

Mods, I am having similar issues too. I was unable to post in classifieds, same error as PM-R. I was also unable to post to some other forums (sorry, I do not remember now as to which specifically).

Cheers

Thanks for the help and try but - Sorry, still a no go!!

I tried the same subject and words again and just end up with the same problem again just as hexdiy did.

I'm trying out OS X Mavericks and using Safari, but I've also posting when booted in SL with the same no go results.

I've reported the issue to our techs to look into. What version of Safari is everyone using?

Thanks,

I have tried posting a new subject to 'Anything Mac' recently but without success using both SL 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10, and Mavericks 10.9.1 and Safari 7.0.1.

Posting to any existing thread seems to be working if that makes any difference to whatever's going on.

Please give it a try now and let me know. The tech was able to post a test thread here: https://www.ehmac.ca/anything-mac/117266-test-thread-using-mavericks-10-9-1-safari-7-0-1-a.html
