: mail app. and rogers mail

i followed the instructions on the rogers website to set up my account but the mail app. keeps saying there's something wrong with it. what should i have typed in for the outgoing and incoming mail servers? on the rogers site is just says to type "pop" and "smtp" in those spots...is this right?

Have you enabled SMTP authentication?

yup...you mean with password? did that...my yahoo account is connecting fine and i'm using the internet so it has to be something wrong with what i typed in...

pop for outgoing
smtp for incoming is corect

sometimes you need the full name of the servers
call rogers and ask for the full name of the pop and smtp servers
also make sure you have a zero in the client name section of your TPC/IP setup

Incoming is pop
Outgoing should be smtp:username
username being whatever you have before @rogers.com
