I was wondering if the apple stores have can active an iPhone on any of the plans for a carrier. I'm going to go with Virgin on a Choice plan + flex data. Currently that plan is not available for pre-order, but multiple Virgin stores told me that they could active an iPhone on those plans in-store. The subsidy is only 200$ instead of 500$, but I'm OK with that.

I may take my chances tomorrow morning to try to land an initial iPhone. I can only be in one line however, and I'm not certain whether I should go to Virgin or to Apple (both in the same mall). I don't want to go to the Apple Store, wait in line for hours, and then be told the can only active the phones on 3-year agreements, and not the choice plans on SuperTab.

Has anybody asked the question?
