I just recently got a Macbook Pro, and from time to time, I would let my younger brother play with it. One day he accidentally drop the laptop and now there a very large dent on the corner. I also have the Apple Care Plan, but I'm not to sure if they cover those kind of damage. I was just wondering if there are place in Toronto, that repair physical damages?

Thanks

The Apple Store will repair it, as will any authorized Apple dealer in the GTA. There are a number. I've used Carbon Computing on Queen, and there is a place on Yonge south of Eglinton that I haven't used as I haven't needed service lately (touch wood), called i-Technique who were recently awarded Premium Service Provider designation by Apple for second straight period - one of only 3 in the GTA. (this from their FB page).

I suspect that it won't be a cheap repair though...

It will be expensive from the Apple store. EBay might be another option, but even on there I find that MBP parts are expensive and somewhat rare, and even if you find a deal on the part there is a lot of labour involved that you either have to do yourself or pay someone to do.

What if you get it fixed, and drop it again? If the dent is something you can live with, leave it alone.

That said, if you can source the right part off eBay or craigslist, you might find a local certified repair person to install it. Ask in the Classifieds here Classifieds - ehMac.ca.

You might even find a laptop with a cracked screen or dead logic board being sold off for parts, with the parts you need intact.
