I am looking into getting some genealogy software to start better keeping track of my ever growing family tree.

I would prefer OS X Saavy solutions, but if there is something way better for OS 9 I am open. That is what Classic is for right?

What have y'all tried?

There is an OS X solution for genealogy, called "Mac Family Tree". You can find it at Version Tracker:

I've downloaded it (shareware) but haven't yet played with it. Gotta get my family history plugged into this thing..

Reunion is an excellent genealogy software package and recently became OS X native with the release of version 8.

I have been poking around in MacFamilyTree. it seems alright, but unless I am missing something (which is possible as I have only spent a short time looking) it lasks good support for multiple marriges, half and step siblings. Of coarse I could have just missed the features or they could be disabled in the locked version.

There is no demo available for Reunion 8 yet, but thanks for letting me know about it. I thought they went out of business or something as I haven't seen any of their new versions since about 4 or 5.

Thanks again and keep the suggestions coming if you have em.
