I'm not aware of any infection on my Macs, but I don't run AV software either. That doesn't mean there's no risk out there and when somebody experiences problems with their Mac folks shouldn't be absolutely dismissing malware as being a cause as Chas_m did.

I've argued with others saying that there's little chance of me getting malware on my Mac, but I find it very irresponsible to tell people there is NO chance. I'm not trying to spread fear, but folks need to at least be aware. Forewarned is forearmed.
