I called our iMac "Big Mac" since it was the largest monitor we had at the time.

all my mac's are named after Pixar movie characters, my current iMac is Woody (and my external TM HD is named Buzz)

The way I name my drives is based on my place of origin/birthplace in Nova Scotia and surrounding places that were important to me growing up, so for example...

My grandparents farm was close to a National Park called Kejimkujik National Park, commonly referred to as Keji... so my Boot drive is called Keji... my grandparents farm is in Maitland Bridge which runs over the Mersey River so one drive is called Maitland and another is called Mersey... you get the idea.

Gus is good. You don't hear that name around much anymore. I named my various Airport devices after old police albums. My daughter named her iPad Titanic so it would display "Titanic is synching."
