Apple, a religion as far as your brain is concerned

Well, it's nothing new - we've all heard terms like the Mac Cult, etc. But I thought some of you would appreciate this little blog entry by Chris Matyszczyk, that popped up in my Google Reader list today:
"clear religious aspects to Apple stores: stone floors, arches, and little altars upon which the precious products are perched"

Personally, I got to be a real zealot for a few years but experienced a lull in religious fervour recently, although I still prefer Mac enjoy very much our family "27" iMac, Late 2009", and get a kick out of each friend I hear who is switching to Mac. Hmmm. Maybe I'm an evangelist at heart. Everybody knows how great Apple is now ... it's just not quite as exciting!

I doubt apple would even deny it. Guy Kawasaki was the first Apple Evangelist, yep that was his job title.

I got the religion, but to be fair, it was based in experience - word perfect and lotus 1-2-3 versus MacDraw, MS Word, and Excel. Apple also dragged us into a world with GUI, mouse, object programming, wide area networking for microcomputers, laser printers, data acces language, and basically most of what we take for granted today. it is hard not to just have 'faith', given where we would be if we all went with DOS.
