I used to buy online from the Apple Store, but after too many mishaps with "bleeping" UPS, I prefer to go in person and spare myself the aggro.

I know the Mayor has better things to do being election night and all... but there are really more options for buying Macs than those he has presented and I think you should be able to choose more than one option if it is to be a fair and representative poll... at least IMHO.

I bought mine from a store. It's a CTO one so I had to order it and wait. For something that expensive Id rather deal with an actual person then order online, unless there's a good price difference.

[X] I purchase my macs from all sorts of different places, it depends on my needs, time frame required and the deal in question.

There we go, I voted

My mac purchases have been online. That is because I live in Rural Eastern Ontario and was taking advantage of education discount.

In the future this may change with either purchasing from Carbon Computers, the Apple Store, or other box stores.

Internet law and the laws of the universe have determined that individuals who complain about poll options immediately bring bad karma to them and their household. Seriously, it's been scientifically proven.

I do polls the way I'm interested in them. Do you buy Macs online or at a store. I guess it could be broken down more into what type of store or business, or you can get picky and say it was ordered by phone, but really I was just interested if people have a preference to physically acquiring it from a business or going to Online Google Sitemap Generator and Webmaster Tools and click a button to buy it.

If you have a poll suggestion, please feel free to PM me.

CTO stuff, Apple online.

Non CTO, eBay, ehMac, etc.

Never been in an Apple store, can't understand the attraction, don't see the need now...

I think the problem is that it's not specific enough in terms of which mac. Most of us that are complaining have bought quite a few more macs than one and from different types of places so it's hard to pin down. Might be interesting to ask where we bought our newest mac from then at least we can easily give more specific answers
