Oh I'll hold out... that many pixels DEMANDS a video upgrade!

However, I REFUSE to buy anything with a touch-screen! I hope that rumour is false!

I believe Intel had a month's delay on the desktop variety of the Sandybridge chipsets. The laptop equivalents were not affected, hence the new MacBook Pro release a few weeks ago. So I'm hoping for the new iMacs within 6-8 weeks. The current model is way overdue for an update.

Yowza, I just bought this one I am using at the moment less than a year ago. What is so deficient about it that I should be holding my breath for the next version?

You can write the old one (like I use) off in class 52 for 2010, but that expires, so there is no incentive from the Canada Revenue Agency to replace.

Yes, sorry. I don't mean the current iMac is a poor machine —it's a beast!— but if you're waiting for the next incremental update before buying, it should be on its way soon.

Not Sure???

I always wonder about the idea of an iMac refresh and I think that there might be one sometime this summer or even in late spring (just a thought...) I assume that there will be the new sandy bridge chip and possible better AMD graphics card in it as well...

In the meantime, if your going to be a shot for working in the Apple Store, why would you not ask your co-workers opinions? They might know a little something more than the public...
