MacBook Air 11" Cases

Just bit the bullet and am finally coming around to replacing my long gone and beloved PowerBook 12 with a 1.6 4GBGB MacBook Air 11.6. And of course, I'll need a new case/sleeve. Any MacBook Air 11 owners want to contribute ideas. So far, I'm considering:

1. Booq Tapain Skin 11: MacBook Air Sleeves by booq
2. Booq Viper Case 11: MacBook Air Sleeves by booq
3. Waterfield Designs Sleevecase: SFBags - WaterField Designs - Laptop Sleeve - TSA Checkpoint Friendly - TSA Good - MacBook Pro - MacBook Air Sleeve - Macbook Air Case - Notebook Sleeve - Computer Sleeve - Laptop Case
4. From Etsy: 11 inch laptop sleeve Hampshire for your Mac Book by packandsmooch
5. From Etsy, Jolioriginals: Custom MacBook Air 11 inch sleeve by JoliOriginals on Etsy
6. Acme Made Sleeve or Case: Acme Made’s New Clutch And Skinny MacBook Sleeves Now Available At Apple Stores
7. SGP: SGP MacBook Air 11 inch [2010 Model] Leather Case Gariz Modern Series - MAC BOOK - Apple - Laptops

So, have I missed any thin case options? Or, do you have any feedback on these bags? I guess you can tell I'm a little anal retentive about my bag choice ...

Funny you ask this as I have been on the fence with getting a bag for my iPad. I too have been looking at the Booq brand and I like what I see. The only help I might be able to offer is that you can order them in Canada from here:

Macinbag.com Search results for: 'booq'

Been contemplating getting this for my iPad. With GarageBand coming, it is going to be leaving my house a lot more:

I just bought a MBA as well, and really like the look of that Booq Viper. It's a shame it doesn't have a handle on it though; I had a very small Dell notebook several years ago that came with an OEM portfolio style case with a handle that I liked immensely.

Good choice. I just got the same model and absolutely love it. Boot and wake from sleep time is insane. Battery life is meh, but that's to be expected.

I'm caseless with mine. I keep it in a bag most of the time with a built-in sleeve so I don't really see the need.

Apple had some of the Speck hardcases in store last I checked, if you wanted to check those out in person.

I'm on a waiting list for a Tuff-Luv saddleback leather case. Can't wait to get it.. looks like an awesome case. Dunno if you saw my thread I posted a few weeks ago, but if you go to i-nique's website directly, and not to Tuff-Luv, you can still order it for the substantially discounted price, as opposed the ridiculously expensive price on Tuff-Luv's website (£29.99 vs £79.99).

I was checking out the custom sleeves on etsy, but I couldn't find one I liked for a reasonable price.. upwards of $80-$100 is too much IMO to spend on a sleeve.

There are some nice simple felt ones for $40ish.
That being said, I don't think they're anything a friend who's handy with a sewing machine couldn't help you with.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. There are some nice leather sleeves on there, but very pricey. When it comes to using felt or some other woven material, it doesn't seem like much of a deal, even at $40, when I can ask my sister to make me a sleeve on the sewing machine.

Maybe one of us should start a business. I bet the material is cheap ($5?). I'll have to check. You could probably make 10 an hour... So $25 with shipping in Canada seems fair. Could probably sell a shwack!

Hmmm..

Received my Saddleback leather case from I-nique today, and I just have to say it's the NICEST FREAKIN CASE I'VE OWNED!!

I've purchased a TON of cases for various devices and gadgets over the years, and this case is just unbelievably nice.

For just over $50 shipped, this is an amazing deal.
