Smaller HD would be just fine if there were no photos
I like the idea of a small HD in my MBP; and MBAir with SSD would be the ultimate. My everyday files do not need much space.
My current MBP is connected to TM via FireWire and works wonderfully. I moved photos to an external HD, which is AirPort Extreme connected. (Or actually copied; and now I do not dare to delete the originals from the MBP)
My dilemma is how to backup the external HD with photos and eventually some other volume intensive files.
TM seems to be able to backup the MBP HD only. What would be a smart backup strategy for the NAS HD?
I currently also use Dropbox and WebPicasa for file sharing, but would prefer a non-cloud solution for backup.
If I can find a solution to this problem, I can start to dream about MBAir with 128 SSD etc.
