It shows the label's been made and UPS was notified of the package, but still no tracking yet. IMO, this way sucks. It's way better when they us FedEx.

ya. Bummer having to wait to find out. For me, I only got the tracking info about 16 hours before it was delivered.

I got my machine set up with my extra RAM and SSD tonight. Turns out I won the 'Refurb Lottery" as I got a 2TB HD instead of the 1TB one. Going for the refurb and getting the HD upgrade saved me over $700 (w/taxes) vs full retail. And that's not counting the piles I saved on going after market for the RAM and SSD.

Oh no way, lucky you! I was thinking how great it'd be to get the MBA with a 128GB ssd instead of the 64GB. Fingers crossed.. lol

Anyway my package is sitting in Concord, ON as of 4:47PM. Not going to get it til Monday.

So I checked the tracking status this morning and it showed a rescheduled delivery date for tomorrow.

I was at school and checked again, just for the heck of it and saw there was an attempted delivery right around the same time I was leaving the apt for school. It said "receiver was on vacation, will reattempt when they return". What the..??

I called UPS and requested a hold for pick up, which meant i would've had to wait til tomorrow.. needless to say I was feelin pretty bummed I had to wait another day.

Well, I was just walking into my building and noticed a UPS truck pull up and park across the street, just behind my building. So I jogged over to him and asked if he was the one who attempted the delivery, and sure enough he was and he let me sign for it there!

So I have my MBA thawing to room temperature right now. Yay!

Kloan,

Good to hear that you (barely) got it. Any idea what was up with that vacation thing?

It's been 7 hours, have you booted it up yet?

I assume it's now thawed out and I checked some Peterborough webcams the other day and I don't understand how you lucked out to see the UPS delivery truck nor how they even drive through all that snow and stuff.

Cold but clear and snow free in Victoria and even in my Brentwood Bay BC area so I sympathize with you and your weather situation.

Sorry, missed your post. Nope, no idea what was up with the vacation thing.. I mentioned it to him and he just sorta shrugged and smiled... said the buzzer wasn't working (my building cheaped out, have to get a land line to use it - I only have a cell).

All set up now. Unfortunately, no surprises... just the standard configuration. Ah well.... maybe next time.

Runs great... very zippy. (battery life isn't very good though)

Well it was on Monday so there wasn't any extra snow yet.... but it's pretty snowy out there today! So glad school was canceled... I REALLY needed the extra sleep.
