maybe... never heard of, "Buffalo".

But for 25 bucks more, you might save yourself a lot of hassle and get one guaranteed to work.

Really? I don't think i've ever seen 2gb sticks for less then $40... Can you tell me where it can be found cheaper?

I agree - $40 is inexpensive for 2 gig 667 sodimms which have skyrocketed lately.

Yeah, Buffalo is a good brand. I'd forgotten how much the older RAM had gone up in price. Used to be able to get 2GB sticks for around $30 or so.

That's good to know it's an okay brand.
I almost got caught short - it jumped $40 at wholesale in a week for a pair..

Buffalo has been around since 1975, they are known primarily for their network, network storage and storage devices.

Here is the most likely reason why for the fire sale:

Thanks for the replies everyone. It should arrive on Thursday so I'll know soon enough. There are a few favourable reviews on the Futureshop website for this piece of memory so I think it will be fine.
