Upgrade to Snow Leopard Issue

Hey Everyone,

I upgraded to 10.6.1 today and the install went perfect. However, I ran into an issue with my aMSN not loading and crashing. So I looked around some aMSN forums and corrected the issue. It was extremely slow and buggy, so I decided to look for a different MSN utility. After reading some posts I came to a decision to try Adium over MSN for Mac, I like Adium but I'm having one issue that I really can't stand and I can't figure out if its the new OS, or the IM program.

The issue i'm having is that whenever my comp isn't being used and goes to sleep per se it seems it disconnects from the net, so my Adium disconnects. This is a problem because I rely on msn for many reasons, and its usually on 24/7. So my question is if its the computer how do I go about getting it to remain connected while the it sleeps. I personally don't care if the actual comp sleeps, I'd be happy with just the screen going black.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Open up System Preferences and head into "Energy Saver."

All of the settings you're looking for are in there.

For what it's worth, your computer will have no Internet connection if it's sleeping. So, make sure you set that preference to zero so your machine doesn't sleep.
