I don't get it - like buying a used car for current new car prices. Supply and demand, my rear end - call it what it is - greed. Maybe I should create and sell good quality dupes of my Tiger disk - should make a nice retirement fund.

You are really off base with your comments.
To start with, a Tiger disk is still "new" even after it is used - at least last time I checked CD's and DVDs don't deteriorate after being used.

And you're also way off base with your comment about "greed" - I take it you never looked at any of the ebay auctions before you posted your comments.
In this auction for instance the seller had a starting price of $20.- for the Tiger disk - it's the people who wanted it and bid on who decided that it was worth over $US 160.- in the end - absolutely nothing to do with greed on the seller's part.

why buy tiger anyhow, if leopard is cheaper?

well, i still dont get it

as bloated as it gets, you can make 10.5 as lean as you like, heck just buy more ram, thats what mac owners have always done in order to enjoy the apple candy...
