I've recieved this type of spam regularily over the past few months, and I'm curious as to what it is. It looks like it could be ... a virus?? I'm not sure, nor sure how it would work if it was. It certainly tries to cirucmvent anti-spam software, but SpamSieve still catches it. Anybody got a clue? Here's the email:

The purpose is to get through the spam filter, so if you have lots of extra often commonly used phrases in your email, it's more likely it will get through;

eg. THIS IS AN AUTO-GENERATED MESSAGE - PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE

And the Windows Directories are just another trick in order to deceive the spam blocking utility.

Annoying, but it does work. Why else did they go from Viagra to V/IAGRA to [email protected]% and such.

I hate spam. And I only get 2 a week on 7 email accounts.
