Great deal on Airport Express, and AE thoughts

Saw the airport express at Chapters for $40 yesterday...

Was thinking about getting a couple more as 'music extenders', but have been kinda disappointed by my current one. It appears that AirTunes only works from Macs, and only from audio only iTunes content. Doesn't work with FrontRow, and doesn't seem to work from movies in iTunes. I watch movies on my MBP (often connected to LCD TV's), and was expecting to be able to channel the audio...

Anyway - for $40 it is a decent deal to be able to hook into a bunch of audio sources in my house/cottage... Anyone else using a bunch of these in their house and sending audio all over the place?

Why are they so cheap?
Super-out-of-date?

It depends on if it's an old or newer AE.
I believe the older 'g' AE has some issues. Don't know if the newer 'n' was improved in reliability...but either way, $40 is pretty good price.

If you don't go for it, maybe you could PM me and tell me which Chapters you saw it at.

Was in Newmarket. I think all of them are liquidating their electronics sections - they had a few left yesterday late afternoon...

I bought my other ones at SIG - who also have pretty good sales every once in a while on the AE... Mine are 'n', but still exhibit some flakiness... but convenient to travel with too!

I have one in the bedroom, one in the dining room, and ATV in the living room. They work very well. I had to hardwire the one in the dining room since it's near a microwave, though.

I thought they sold candles, knickknacks and bric-a-brac. Because they rarely have the book in stock I am looking for.
