FOR A FREE IPOD, NO LESS??!

There was a banner ad asking me to select my favourite iPod mini colour. So, I click on it and get this page!

But, this prize is only available to folks in the USA!

Hey Macoholic... I've filtered out that web site so it won't show up on ehMac Google ads again.

The blame goes to the advertiser for not specifying their targeted region correctly when they submitted their ad to Google. They could of specified for their ad to only show up to US web surfers.

Most of the ads that show up in the ehMac Google banners are Canadian specific or at least do service the Canadian market. (At least they should if the advertiser setup their ads correctly).

Overall, I think the Google ads are very cool. Interesting to see what ads are generated in the various threads.

No. As soon as I read (plainly visible on the front page) that it was USA-only, my heart broke and I complained to the management

The catch is you have to refer 5 people, fill out all sorts of marketing questionaires and then you get your iPod. There's an article on Wired's web site.

Yeah, I had read about that one before. I didn't venture any further on THIS banner to see if it was the same thing.

This plan is legit! Wish it was available in Canada

Trust me you don't want to fill it out. I did it just for fun. Lied about everyhing but my spare email account just to see what would happen. Within 10 minutes I started getting spam from every "You have a check waiting" or "We will give you free money" so much crap that I shut down the email account.
