Price check: Mac mini

Thinking about a mini for a media center.
Wondering how much I should be paying for a used mini.

I have a friend who has a Solo 1.66 2gb ram, combo drive, 60gb hd, no keyboard or mouse, no warranty. Any ideas for a fair price. I tried to price check but everything says make an offer. He is not sure what it's worth. The few prices I have seen are all over the board.

How much for one (this one or another one)
It doesn't need to be a screamer for a media center.
Just general pricing would be good.

Don't buy it if you want to play HD video. The Intel Core Solo can not play 1080i or 1080p HD video. You need an Intel Core Duo to do that.

I bough a Core 2 Duo with combo drive on the refurb recently for 539$. So, the solo should be way cheaper than that!

I just quickly looked on Mac2Sell out of pure interest (as I was thinking of getting one too!)... and first, I discovered there is no Solo 1.66Ghz Mac Mini... it's either a Solo 1.5Ghz or a Core Duo 1.66Ghz... which will effect the price!

The 1.5Ghz was only a CoreSolo. The CoreDuo 1.66Ghz model was originally the high-end model with superdrive and a 80GB HD, and then was bumped to the low-end model with a 60GB HD and a ComboDrive.

Apple Mac mini "Core Duo" 1.66 Specs (Early/Late 2006 - MA206LL/A*) @ EveryMac.com

The 1.66ComboDrive model goes for $469 refurbed on apple's site once in a while.
