Smile Vancouver: Best Mac Shop?

I'll be back in my homeland for a conference in early June (3-9), and will be making a visit to a Mac shop to pick up some gear (everything electronic in Mexico is a whopping 50% more expensive than Canada).

The Apple Reseller Locator shows eight Apple Resellers in Vancouver, four of which are London Drugs locations - of which I've usually heard very good things.

It's my first visit to Vancouver. I'll be staying on-campus at SFU.

Which of the eight Mac resellers should I visit?

(and what are the odds of (a) Steve announcing the iPhone on 9th June, (b) it being in stock at one of these shops, and (c) me having time to get there before my 1:00pm flight back to Mexico?)

Wow another best Vancouver store thread! Haha.

Just take the 145 bus from SFU down to Production Way-University Station and go to the MacStation right across Lougheed Hwy. It's my favourite store and I've made a majority of my purchases there. Or take the skytrain from there and go to the chic Yaletown location which our humble mayor ehMax highly recommends! I also liked UBC bookstore back in the days but you need a student ID to buy from there though they only more or less do random checks now. Westworld's pretty decent as well. The guys at Discount Mac Club are friendly but it's a bit out of the way. Can't vouch for the others.

Hey - I have a valid University Staff ID - from Halifax - I wonder if UBC Bookstore will honour that?

If you're staying at SFU, you might as well check out the SFU Microcomputer Store. It's at the Cornerstone building attached to the post office. The MacStation at Production Station is also really close, as dona said. 10 minute bus ride down the hill. Although it's downtown, I've had great experiences with Simply Computing.

I prefer Simply Computing to Mac Station. I find they have a larger inventory of Apple related products.
