Server location

Have a question. I have a Lacie 2Tb server and I've put it in my cold storage area in the basement. Mostly because of the fan noise but also because the temp in there is usually pretty cool. Only concern is the humidity, which right now is about 60% but some times higher in the summer.

Would I be better off putting the server someplace else?

As long as the server is running there is no issue - if it is on and off there is an issue.

I do hope you have that server backed up. I assume it's a 2TB netdrive??

Thanks I figured as much. Yep it's an Ethernet disk used for backup and storring movies.
