Adobe plugins for Safari and Firefox

Hello All,

I've just recently converted to the Mac-world and so far I am loving every moment of it... while kicking myself for not switching much earlier!

Anyhow.. here is my newbie question:

How can I get my browser's (Safari and Firefox) to implement Adobe plugins (flash and reader)? I have already installed them automatically, but when I return to sites that require these plugins, I am directed back to the Adobe installation site. I have repeated this step many times with the same result.

What I am missing here?

Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on joining the Mac world and welcome to Ehmac!

After you installed these plugins, did you restart your machine? It could be something that simple. If they are still not working, try loading Safari and go to the help pull down menu. At the bottom is an option to show installed plugins. If they aren't showing up in the list, something went awry with the install process. Let me know what you discover and repost if this doesn't resolve anything. I'm sure other members can offer insight I haven't thus far. Good Luck!
