Klipsch Ifi as computer speakers

I'm probably gonna get one of these puppies (unless somebody convinces me otherwise :p). Anyways, I'm curious how they performed connected to a computer (playing off iTunes). I've heard that they don't sound as good as music playing straight off an iPod. Is this true?? (kind of odd if true though)

while it's true to a point because you'll get the same headphone out buzz you would get with any computer speaker vs. the line in coming off the bottom of the ipod, it's nothing worth getting worried about.

Do you intend to play music off of an iPod as well as through the computer? If you only really need them as computer speakers, just get Klipsch's ProMedia 2.1 speakers (preferably not the GMX models, though). They'll be a better deal overall. Mine are thumping as we speak.

Yes, both iPod and computer (probably even more computer than iPod since I have most of my music there). The reason I'm even considering the Ifi is because I can get both for roughly the same price. It's a super super s-u-p-e-r good deal on the Ifi. I was just worried because one of the reviews on Amazon said that his Promedias sounded better when connected to the computer. Other than the fact that it's connected via line in (vs dock connector), should I be worried about sound quality?
