Why no AM Tuner

Clearly I don't understand anything about Radio and how it works, but I love to listen to the FAN590 - (AM) and I love my ipod.. why can't a tuner come with an AM and FM tuner? is it that complicated? let's see some love for fans of AM radio!?!?

AM requires a particular length and design of antenna that is not really possible, for various reasons, in a tuner that size.
