Safari Update

There's an update to the Tiger version of Safari (2.0.1) available for download.

Installed, no hiccups - yet. I think we'll only really know how well it addressed the crashing problems by using it over a longer period.

and the very DoS like behaviour of crashing towards corrupted or odd images that affects the WebKit.

For some reason, pages load faster with the update installed. Now I'm actually going to use Safari rather than Firefox.

downloaded and installed 2.0.1 on my 10.4.2 PB 15" 1.5 Ghz
works fine
repaired permissions and cloned my drive beforehand, just in case...
