Dual G5 PowerMac for $1799.99 Cdn at London Drugs!

Rev B Dual G5 1.8 GHz PowerMac, with 256 base RAM, upgradable to 4 GB, 80 GB HD, upgradable to 800 GB. 64 Meg NVIDIA 5200 video card, 8 X DVD Burner, and Tiger for $1,799.99 Cdn. Went down from $2,099.99 and originally went for $2,499.99 as far back in March.

This is a great deal that shouldn't be passed up if you're looking to buy a new Apple desktop. Much better than the iMacs that roughly go for near the same dollar. In this instance, you get a computer with a Dual G5, and a machine that's far more expandable.

I have a Dual G5 PowerMac and it's by far the best computing experience I have ever had. Granted, it's also the best machine I ever had, but for me it's been nearly flawless in performance.

The iMac is cheaper and comes with an LCD monitor.... but for power users, this is a biggie!

Hmmm although adding a standard 17 or 19" LCD (say like a samsung) to the price of that dual isnt too bad at all, even for non power users. The speed and expandability is so worth it in my opinion but then again, I'm a power user

They still have them. Trust me. Not on their site. Just old stock they are trying to get rid of in their stores. If your local London Drugs doesn't have them, ask someone who has a LD in their area. Maybe you can make an arrangement with them or order a computer from that particular store.

And trust me with the price of LCDs right now and the expandability and power of this thing compared to an iMac it's a better buy at this price.

Edit: Also should be noted that depending on the size of iMac you get it could exceed this pricing. Nowadays you can get a cheap 15-17" LCD or upwards to a 20" CRT for around 250 and under. And you get a machine that has a longer life expectancy because of the additional G5 1.8 GHz processor and it's wider expandability range.
