Passing of a Forum God :(

http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/edit...antg/index.php

Hey folks, it truely is a sad day for Mac users everywhere. I just wanted to post my respects here.

Grant G, a "forum god" at MacWorld has passed away. I've never become a member there, but I've read many a post by Grant. I just wanted to bring it up here to show just how wholesome a community can be.

Generous, helpful, witty, wise. These are only a few things that could describe what Grant G was as a forum user and in life, it certainly is a sad day.

Quote:
I never met Grant. I donít know what he looked like. I donít know what kind of car he drove or much about what he did earlier in life. I do know, however, that Grant was a sterling reminder of just how kind, generous, and helpful people can be. Our forums will be poorer without him.

I personally don't know who Grant is nor have I read a single post of his. But after reading what the members of that forum have posted, and their thoughts and admirations of the guy I got to say it was very touching. You don't realize how much of an effect people have on the internet sometimes. This is a prime example of how much an internet community cares about one of its fellow members and the lose of said member.

Thanks for posting Vexel. It was definitely an interesting read. Sounds like the guy was very helpful to all in the Mac community. That deserves a thumbs up right there.
