Boo on Apple

Well all you itunes music store downloaders looks like apple put the pressure on Roxio toast and no more burning of music cd or dvd's
Everyone should just boycott the itunes stores and let apple know we DON'T LIKE IT.
DOWN WITH APPLE

Uh, what he's talking about is that since Toast 6 is busted in Tiger, an update is required. But in the update is this notice:

"Following discussions with Apple, this version will no longer allow customers to create audio CDs, audio DVDs, or export audio to their hard drive using purchased iTunes music store content."

EDIT: You know, to be honest, I still don't know what that means. I mean, "no longer export audio to their hard drive..." Yeah, but it's already on the hard drive isn't it?

I still prefer the Toast 5 version anyway.

What are you talking about exactly...??? Roxio's web page says that Toast 6 is fully compatible with Tiger and iTunes. Do you have a copy of the message?

First of all, if you are about to complain about a news, post a link to it because I couldnt find what you were talking about.

Second, I wonder in which world you live in! Company have to think about there self interest, that is how they survive and its the nature of economic. Please, name me one company on the stock market that think about something else than the shareholders first... No company will ever say: ÈSorry shareholders, we lost 10bil$ this year and we screwed up your pension plan, but god did we shipped a lot of product at a low price!"

Finaly, you can always copy the song you buy on a CD then put them back in MP3 afterward and there wont be much lost. People who complain about sound quality really annoy me. I listen to my iPod when I am running or in the bus/metro: where ever I am, sounds from the environnement will screw the song more than any encoding could do anyways...

Sorry but I really dont see the point of your post.

By reading the ad i think it means that music downloaded from itunes stores must have a flag attached to it and that toast and jam will now sample it and not allow you to burn to any cd or dvd.

Long time lurker, first time poster... figured I would start off with a simple post and provide linkie to the info regarding the update to TT6 as mentioned by Blackv12 and quoted by Klaatu. As for me, this is a non-issue as I don;t use Toast for these features anyway.... http://www.roxio.com/en/support/toas...history6.jhtml
