According to AppleInsider.....

Along with Tiger, Apple this week introduced a new model of its Mac mini desktop computer, complete with more RAM, a DVD burner and built-in wireless connectivity.

As anticipated, Apple Computer on Friday quietly began shipping a new retail configuration of its Mac mini desktop computer, complete with a 1.42GHz G4 processor, 512MB of RAM, and built-in Bluetooth and AirPort wireless connectivity.

Contrary to earlier rumors, the new model does not replace one of the existing two models and is instead being marketed as a third Mac mini model, dubbed the "Mac mini SuperDrive Ultimate."

In the United States the new model carries a manufacturers suggested retail price of $873.00 and is referenced by part number M9971LL/A. In Europe, Apple is selling the unit for £589 under part number M9971B/A.

Both price points are identical to the built-to-order price for a standard 1.42GHz Mac mini with an added 512MB of RAM, SuperDrive, and AirPort and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Mac mini SuperDrive Ultimate ships with Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger."

We have some similar arriving next week - can add the BT/Airport. We still have one 1.25 SD/80 gig/1 gig ram available.

'Bout time there was a standard model SD - that was a TAD ridiculous.
Minis going into all sorts of niches.

It's a retail configuration that you'll find at Best Buy. The Apple Store would be BTO anyway.
Thanks for the clarification....but it raises another question. If they're configuring masses of them this way at the factory for resellers, shouldn't you get one if you select that exact BTO configuration from Apple?

Great that they bumped it up with SD. Should get a few more PC's to see the light and go mac (I am in the midst of converting someone over and the mini is what I am touting).
