I was waiting around for the new revisions for a few weeks now, so that when they were announced, I'd be ready with money in hand. So...
I ordered my PM yesterday. I find myself constantly checking the order status. It's a disease Anywho, it has been "Sent to Manufacturing", my BTO change was swapping the video to the 9650. Should be here in a week.
The waiting is the hardest part.
As an aside, anyone interested in the a cheap copy of Tiger? I'd like to sell the one that comes with the PM (as long as it's not PM specific or any licensing issues) so that I can buy the "family" edition. Drop me a PM. I'll take the best offer over $60.
I've literally been waiting years and was greatly dissappointed with the January MacWorld Expo. No PowerMac upgrades...
I'm not overly thrilled with this minor speed bump but you can only play the waiting game for so long...
I too have received no news in regards to my 2.3 Ghz. "Sent to manufacturing" since Thursday night (5:27 PM Pacific Time).
Meanwhile I am writing this on a 7 year old 266 Mhz beige G3 DT upgraded to a 450 Mhz G4 along with a ton of other modifications. It is running Pather well, thanks to XPostFacto. But it is finally time to pass the "gossamer" on to the kids.
Congratulations on your purchase of the PM Dual G5! I love mine! It's a great computer. I have had it for two months and so far no problems! It's almost too good to be true.
It's so quiet too and I always find it irresistible to open the side door of my tower to show off to my friends and family. Which isn't good considering I have cats and they shed a lot.
I am so obsessed with my computer. I am truely a sad person that gets overly excited about the stupidest of things.
I was checking every 2 hours on Thursday and Friday, now I'm down to 3 times per day.
Elias, good to hear it's so quiet. I love quiet. My Pismo and mini are fantastic and I've been very apprehensive about the PM's back in the "wind tunnel" days.
Duckfeet, on the bright side (for you), you jumped ahead of me. I ordered on Wednesday morning 7AM Pacific and was sent to manufacturing on Thursday morning.
BTW, I had an earlier post regarding the differences with the ATI 9600 vs 9650. The 9650 besides having more memory does have a nice performance bump too. It's on the pdf at Apple's PowerMac page.
I ordered a Dual 2.0 on the 27th of April and mine is also "sent to manufacturing" The estimated time to ship says Thursday! I want it now! im so impatient.

The install DVD that comes with it can be used to install on another mac but I don't recomend selling your disk. There likely is a licensing issue but since you would be buying a family pack, you may overcome that. The reason I wouldn't sell it is because if you ever have to reload your system, that DVD is the only easy way to get Classic and your additional applications re-installed.
The only update I have is, my order temporarily moved back to "processing" and then moved back again to "Sent to manufacturing" with the order indicating "replaced with new product" even though the "old" G5 part numbers all match with the "new" part numbers.
Is somebody at Apple messing with me cause I am hammering their order status system too much
I forgot to mention, the shipping estimate was on or before today.
