so, i'm trying to network my bf's pc and powerbook. i can get as far as entering name and password before it won't connect. anyone have any help, or a website or something? thanks.

and, i installed DAVE to try and do some networking at work, which didn't work, so i got rid of it. BUT NOW, everytime i start up my mac i get asked for DAVE registration and it won't let me try to connect to SMB volumes! it says i don't have this option in the demo, when mac's have it anyway!!!! Help me uninstall this piece of crap!!!!! thank you. phil.

Destroy all preferences of the application - and search for DAVE - any file that comes up that's part of DAVE, delete it. Then restart your Mac. No more screens should appear.
