Printer cartridges?

Hi,
I have an HP Colour Laserjet M254dw, and usually buy OEM cartridges from Cendirect. However, I recently learned (from the MacSupportCentral list) that there are some high-quality compatible cartridges, particularly those sold by Carrot Ink. However, Carrot Ink only ships to the United States. Does anyone know a good supplier in Canada?

Cheers
Madeline

Thanks. I am very wary of non-OEM cartridges! But I am interested in what I learned in the other forum, which is why I'm asking.

Was that brand Moustache?

By the way, Cendirect's prices were slightly better than Costco's. Cendirect is based in Quebec but their stuff ships from all over.

Third party inkjet cartridges from Amazon are usually trash. As are cartridges that you get from chain stores.

I know of at least five different sources for very high quality, yet very inexpensive, third party inkjet cartridges in the U.S., but I don't know if any of them ship to Canada.

Surely there must be an equivalent company in Canada?

Ironically, I'm seeing an advertisement for "inkfarm.com" at the top of the page for this thread. They are based in Seattle, Washington, but they ship to Canada.

Anyone tried them? I've never heard of them before. Their prices aren't the best, but they are far better than OEM prices, and they have a good warranty.

I'll second the Costco option. Good prices and no danger of getting knockoff or very old stock.

I have destroyed more printers over the past 20 years going on the cheap for ink. No more, Buy brand specific at Costco or Staples and never an issue. Highly recommend staying far away from crappy cartridges as they WILL cost you more in the long term.

I have purchased from several Printer ink Suppliers based in Québec and never had any real problems with them, and as they are based in Québec, I never got charged BC tax on any of them even though I believe they were shipped out of Burnaby.

I avoid using the super cheap Third party inkjet replacement cartridges, but substantially cheaper than OEM, and even Costco's OEM or their Refilled price.

However, the 0P seems to be asking about a Colour Laserjet which I believe still uses toner Powder rather than ink which I have no experience with.

EDIT:
PS: have a look here, and I use to purchase ink cartridges from them years ago, But I didn't see any sign of your HPP Colour Laserjet M254dw Printer listed:
https://www.123ink.ca/en/c-10315-color-laserjet-series

Maybe it wasn't sure what I was looking for...

But they have good prices, and good product, but HP went on the
Warpath quite a few quite a few years ago regarding all third-party HP replacements for their toner cartridge. They kept a lot of lawyers very happy.

And maybe check out Costco as well:
