NVME m2 SSD card pcie x4

as soon as upgraded my macpro 2010 with the 12 core, my ssd disk failed 2 weeks after.

i just got a pci card with e crucial 1tb m2 ssd card. i am currently running High sierra, is there a way i can boot on my pci m2 ssd card instead of a sata ssd? would love to stay with 10.13. 10.14 would be my last resort. my format is HFS+

thank you

Is there some sort of enclosure adapter that would make it like a traditional SSD drive? I am building a PC and bought a 1 TB PCIe m2 ssd and have to say I love the form factor and even more that it mounts directly on the motherboard opposed to a regular drive.

I was hoping the new MacPro would be using this as they are using something similar but of course Apple is not, they are using a proprietary card that is very similar but will cost way more I am sure.

well currently trying to boot from the PCIe 4x card with my new M2 1tb SSD disk with Mojave, but it simply refuse to boot from it. according to what apple Said, Mojave should have the driver to be able to boot from a NVME SSD disk. my new OS sees it, but refuse to boot from it. Bummer
