Will not be of my concern, have hated it all along!
I have a huge sound library (42GB huge like, every repair job coming into my place gets robbed of its sound lib, on mutual consent..., have bought only 1 song in my entire career).

Looks like syncing, backup, and restore are all moving to the Finder.

Don't think it really changes much in functionality other then not needing to open iTunes when you want to do something with your iPad or iPhone. Honestly though the only thing I did do was add movies to my iPad. Everything else is done without iTunes.
