EnvyNews has posted another contest:

Back in January, we held a contest sponsored by TwinTech Industry whereby they donated 15 USB Flash Drives ranging in capacities from 32 to 64MB. Today, we're holding another TwinTech Contests, but the stakes are far higher!

The Loot:
(5) 256MB Translucent Purple USB Flash Drives
(5) 128MB Translucent Red USB Flash Drives

Click on the button below to head to the contest page. The rules are outlined in detail - don't forget the skill-testing question, and we'd really appreciate it if you could fill-out the optional questions, which we use for our own demographical curiosity.

All the drives are compatible with OSX, and the contest page can be viewed here:

Cheers,

RtC

P.S. Good luck, and I hope someone here wins one...

I sent you $70 in free/extra/optional items, above and beyond what was stated in the sale. Yes, I couldn't find the USB Transfer cable, and I stated this to you in an e-mail. The entire time, I communicated with you promptly. I don't sleep on my keyboard, if you didn't get an answer right away, ever thought that maybe I had better things to do than babysit my e-mail account? I have dozens of e-mails from you. And you have dozens of mine.

I CLEARLY stated in the original sale of the item in Trading Post, that shipping the item was an EXTRA cost to be paid by the buyer. You insisted twice that you wanted it included in the asking price. I should have listened to the alarm bells ringing in my head, that you'd be a problem.

I sold the Kodak MC3 + 192MB of CF RAM at a very high discount, but never at any time did you give appreciation or acknowledgement to this fact, nor the fact that I tried to patch things up by giving you $70 in items OUT OF POCKET to make-up for a $10 cable, items which have vastly improved the 'user experience' with the camera.

It seems you are a 'One strike, yer out' person. So, I striked out with saying something shipped, when it did not due to my 20-hr/7-day workweeks, and I clearly apologized to you in e-mail and here. Yet, you have ZERO compassion, no forgiveness, and worst of all, it becomes a mission in your life to try to discredit me at every opportunity.

I even offered you a full refund, and frankly, I would not have cared if you had kept the camera and accessories for free. I SCREWED-UP sending you this package when I didn't ship it promptly... There, it's in the open. No lies.

Why am I even defending myself here? You got the bloody item, with freebies, and 15-days after the conclusion of the sale. Not 30 or 60 days. If I had sold this on eBay, the buyer would not have recieved it for about 2 weeks anyways.

But, posting the answer to the contest is just plain dumb. I can't believe you're defending yourself over the posting of the answer. It's plain as day a method to rile me up, and bring this all out in the open, which btw, you clearly succeeded.

So, to all that think about selling something to MacSpectrum or you're offering $800 US in freebies in a contest where he may apply, here are rules to follow by:

1) Make sure to write a lengthy EULA and have it checked by a lawyer, as he's sure to try to find loopholes to screw you over.

2) If you're going to ship something, you better be damned sure that it's done the nano-second after he's PayPal'ed you.

3) You must remain communicative. Screw eating, screw pooing, heck - screw breathing. Remain at your E-mail client post 24/7, as if you don't reply to e-mails the second you get them, expect very angry e-mails from him.

4) Keep your cool - he'll only use it against you.

5) Don't make mistakes. Of any kind. It's unacceptable to him. He'll nag you til the end of time over the one mistake you made. To Err is unacceptagble. To Err twice is unforgiveable. To try to cover up your mistakes is worthy of persecution. So, don't make mistakes.

Anyways, i'm off to bed. It's ultra-late, and I fully expect to wake up to a 'five reasons not to trust Neil Yates/Envy news when buying items and applying for a contest' reply from Mr. Heartless.

I suspect this thread will be locked too, as the fur has only started to fly.
