MBP Retina (2015): how to double-click on trackpad?

I have no idea how to double-click using the trackpad. Anything I Google is about Right Clicking which I can do.

Tips?

Uh, not real sure about this question as I have a MBP retina 2015 and it double clicks the very same way as any other track pad I have ever owned. I simply 'double click' on the part of the track pad closest to me with my thumb. I also like the 'silent clicking' option in system prefs>trackpad.

push into the track pad as you would a mouse button, do it twice for double click. Are you doing that and nothing is working?

Refinement: Double clicking (pressing or touching, if it has been set up) anywhere on the track pad will do.
