Best OS X server ???

Good day to all.

on my previous post, i bought a Xserve and XRaid. Now that all of this is working? i had set it up as a time machine for my main OS x on my network, which did saved my butt recently after a SSD disk failure.

Sadly enough, i had enough with that noise from the Xserve 2008 and currently using a Macpro running 10.6 server.

My xraid is still running and all and would love to use this to a new level.

I want to go wireless, i want to create my own "MY"Cloud for my iphone and macbook over the net and all and yet, I have no clue how to do it. which OSX server is the best to take the challenge. is 10.6 to old or should i go with 10.9 server. Apple use to have it, but they pulled it off, how is 10.8 server, is it a good one?

I'm sure i'm not the only one there trying to set this up or trying to understand to set this up.

any advise and help would be great.

Thanks

True, but it looks like i don't really care about power and heat as i have proper ventilation and the office is nice and cool. ;)

This is mostly what I was looking for Raid admin tool, but my Xserve 2008 is offline and has been for a long time, but i want to keep that Xraid running.

So my older macpro with mac os X 10.6.x server also been turned off this morning to make room to my other Macpro 2008 under mac os X 10.8.x which has over 6 HDD and now that i finally found a way to connect my Xraid to it? it will be fun to fool around with.
All the other apps? will also be used "owncloud" and all have been downloaded and will give it a try this week end.

Sadly enough, one of my graphic card will have to go as all of my PCI slots are full to make room to that Fiber channel card.

Also getting another Xraid so i can study on it a little to make it quieter and better. that big heavy chunk of hardware have a great potential, let see how far we can go with it. this will be my science project. Damn geek me :D
