PSA: If you have a quad core mini, sell it now

Hey guys,

If you have a quad core Mac Mini 2012, just letting you know that now is a great time to sell.

With the new Mini coming out and being comparatively underpowered (theoretically, if not in actual use), people are paying exorbitant sums.

I used my loaded 2.6 Ghz Quad/16GB/SSD mini for two years, and just now sold it for more than I paid for it!

If you're looking to get a 5K retina iMac, or that new iPad Air, or maybe a refurb Mac pro, no time like the present to unload your old gear!

But what if I don't want to?

And if I did, to sell it only to buy one of the underpowered new ones?

Don't see the point here.

Like I said, if you want to make the jump to a Macbook Pro, iMac or what have you, now's the time to sell since the prices on the used market are good.

Quite a different story from this time las year when I was considering it!

I wonder if they have any in store? I bought one last Thursday at the Rideau apple store, at a discount too.

How'd you get the discount?

Mine wouldn't budge.

They are selling the old models at the new model prices (see receipt I posted in the thread). The 2.3 quad core used to sell for $799, but is now $749, the same price as the current mid-tier.

Ah, I see. You're right. What did the 2.3 QC Server used to sell for?
