An annoying printer issue

My mid-2007 iMac, with OS X 10.8.2, worked well with my printer - Canon Image Class MF4350d. However, when I've connected it to my newly bought iMac, with the same OS X, it makes copies but stopped printing. To make sure I've downloaded two drivers for my iMac, which probably were there already. It didn't help...

Does anyone has a solution to that problem?

I've solved this problem quite easily by deleting existing default printer, then adding new printer, and... eureka, it works!

Kinda late to the party here but ...

First off, let's make sure we all agree that printers are evil. Accepting that as fact makes the rest easier to bear and we can all gather together to fight a common enemy. :-)

If all else fails, try selecting one of the generic printer drivers available when adding a printer in Print & Scan in System Preferences, or even one for a printer in the same family for a model that is close to the one you have. That will work for many printers for most print jobs.
