chas_m, do you actually USE iCloud on Lion across multiple machines? Doubtful with a response like you just made. As much as it pains me I have to agree with broad on that one from the lack of reliability I'm seeing on my setups here (currently 2 of 5 machines are "out of sync").
Same here Between my phone, my iPad and the 5 or so computers I'm signed in on there is almost something out of whack. Bookmarks, calendar appointments either missing completely or notifications not showing up, mail not pushing...the list of issues is long and distinguished.

My iMessages and email work perfectly with iCloud, but that is the good news. Bookmarks absolutely suck. Different on every machine and most frustrating on my iPhone, iPad and MBP. Thank goodness I have no use for calendar or any other program due to its hit and miss performance.

From yours and some others experiences, shouldn't the "long and distinguished" remark be something more like "long and disgusting"??

It sounds like I should thankful that I don't need to use any it it. But then again, us SL users are rather restricted anyway for such access.

But a local VMUG user posted after I think he may have got some goofy iPad MM iCloud stuff sorted out, his last post was the he renamed his iPad as "Titanic" and at last report it was syncing!!

Which I guess for maybe some that need some humour relief of the problem will lead them to:

Does two MacBooks (one pro one regular), an iPhone 4 and an iPad count as "multiple machines"?

All perfectly in sync, btw ...

Yes they count You are one of the lucky few -- as you can see by all the other people that posted in this thread that have issues with iCloud, let alone all the people having issues with it on the apple support forums.

I actually have more issues with iCloud that I did with MM, and I really didn't think that could happen.

I have an iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad2, iPod Touch and an iPhone 3GS attached to the same iCloud Account.
All of the devices are in perfect sync under iCloud.
